Where are the all night or even late night coffee shops in Tacoma?
I appreciate Bertolino’s but their space is postage stamp sized and you have to get in there at 8:30 PM to get a seat. UPS’ Diversions Cafe is a nice alternative with plenty of space and a 1 AM closing time most days of the week but as an undergraduate hangout it can get really noisy. My favorite coffee shop, the Black Water, closes at 9 PM most nights of the week. The Mandolin Cafe follows suit closing at 10 PM most nights of the week.
Am I missing something? Is there someplace else? I don’t really consider Shari’s or Metropolitan Market as viable alternatives.

Slim pickings. There area a bunch of places on South Tacoma Way that are open until 11 and 12 at night, if you fancy some late-night Korean food. The area near the Steilacoom blvd/S Tacoma Way intersection is peppered with late(r) night hangouts.
The starbucks near the mall on 72nd is open quite late. Want free wireless late at night and good atmosphere…?? There is always the parkway!
